KZ-4227 : LEAN Process Re-Engineering : Digital transformation

Do you have experience of providing Process Re-Engineering expertise, on a Digital project?

This consulting opportunity is to support our client, a leading Pharmaceuticals company, in reviewing current as is processes with a view to producing process transformation plans with a digital angle

The project needs a consultant who: 

  • Has extensive experience of delivering process transformation plans
  • Has undertaken such work ideally within the pharmaceuticals industry, alternatively has extensive manufacturing experience
  • Whilst understands the strategy piece is more focused on implementation
  • Is well versed ( ideally qualified) in the Lean methodologies
  • Will work predominantly onsite in the Manchester area and with occasional overseas travel.

Key services:

The key services that you'll be asked to provide are: 

  • Facilitate and lead Lean process mapping and re-engineering workshops across business functions (e.g. R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, QA).
  • Assess current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, and design optimized, future-state processes aligned with business and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and own end-to-end process transformation plans, integrating digital tools and automation opportunities where appropriate.
  • Engage and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to drive change adoption, provide coaching, and ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Monitor progress, manage risks, and report outcomes to leadership and steering groups.
  • Provide strategic guidance on Lean methodologies, continuous improvement, and digital process enablement.

 

Mandatory Requirements:

Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate the following: 

  • Proven track record of delivering Lean process improvement or re-engineering projects within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GxP-regulated environments and pharmaceutical operational models. ( manufacturing as an alternative)
  • Experience of planning and executing process transformation programmes with a digital / automation component.
  • A skilled facilitator of workshops and cross-functional engagements.
  • Adept in developing process maps, gap analyses, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.

 Optional Requirements:

It will also be advantageous if you have:

  • Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt or Green Belt) certification.
  • Familiarity with digital transformation tools and methodologies (e.g. RPA, workflow automation, process mining).
  • Experience with tools such as Visio, Miro, or process mapping software

Working Pattern: Majority onsite located in the Manchester area. Occasional overseas travel.
Contract Type:  Outside IR35

Duration:  Initial 5-6 months plus
