This consulting opportunity is to support our client, a leading global pharmaceutical organisation, in defining, delivering and driving the adoption of enterprise data products across Pharmaceutical Technology & Development (PT&D). The programme supports AI-powered drug development by enabling trusted, FAIR-compliant data products that improve decision-making, accelerate scientific innovation and maximise the value of enterprise data.
The project needs a consultant who has:
- extensive data product management experience across complex enterprise environments
- strong understanding of data engineering, governance and enterprise data architecture
- ability to translate business priorities into product roadmaps and technical delivery
- experience influencing senior stakeholders within large, matrixed organisations
Key services:
The key services that you will be asked to provide are:
- defining the vision, strategy and roadmap for TOSI data products
- owning and prioritising product backlogs to maximise business value
- translating customer needs into actionable product requirements
- leading cross-functional delivery across architecture, engineering and analytics teams
- ensuring data products align with FAIR principles and enterprise governance standards
- managing product dependencies, releases and stakeholder engagement throughout the product lifecycle
- driving adoption of data products across PT&D through effective communication and change advocacy
- establishing business metadata, product metrics and governance for assigned data products
Mandatory Requirements:
Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate:
- proven data product management experience across the full product lifecycle
- experience developing and managing product roadmaps, backlogs and delivery priorities
- strong knowledge of ETL, data modelling, data lakes, master data and reference data
- experience leading Agile product delivery within multidisciplinary teams
- ability to translate complex business challenges into technical product requirements
- excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across business and technical communities
- proficiency with SQL, Python or similar technologies for data exploration and product development
- experience working with enterprise data platforms including Snowflake
- degree in a scientific or technical discipline
- experience delivering data products within complex global organisations
Optional Requirements:
It will also be advantageous if you have:
- experience with Databricks, Collibra, Alation, dbt or comparable data platforms
- understanding of AI and machine learning applications within pharmaceutical development
- experience working within GxP or other regulated environments
- knowledge of knowledge graphs, ontologies or semantic data models
- familiarity with data mesh principles and domain-oriented data ownership
- product management or data management certification
- previous experience within pharmaceutical research, development or manufacturing
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 60% onsite near Manchester
