CT-4448 Data Business Analyst

Do you have experience of providing business analysis expertise for data products, on a complex pharmaceutical data and digital transformation programme?

This consulting opportunity is to support our client, a leading global pharmaceutical organisation, in delivering trusted, FAIR-compliant data products across Pharmaceutical Technology & Development (PT&D). The project supports AI-powered drug development by translating business requirements into high-quality data products that accelerate decision-making and the delivery of innovative medicines.

The project needs a consultant who has:

  • extensive business analysis experience across enterprise data product delivery
  • advanced SQL capability for developing complex data product solutions
  • strong understanding of data engineering, data modelling and data governance principles
  • ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and multidisciplinary technical teams

 

Key services:

The key services that you will be asked to provide are:

  • translating business requirements into clear data product specifications
  • developing and maintaining complex SQL to support data product delivery
  • validating data products to ensure quality, accuracy and completeness
  • coordinating with data engineers, information architects and data standards teams to resolve delivery dependencies
  • managing Jira epics and supporting iterative delivery across multiple product releases
  • maintaining data product documentation, catalogue information and FAIR data standards

 

Mandatory Requirements:

Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate:

  • business analysis experience delivering enterprise data products
  • advanced SQL development skills with experience of complex query design
  • knowledge of ETL, data modelling, data lakes, reference data and master data
  • experience working within Agile delivery teams
  • experience collaborating with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams
  • experience using Snowflake, Jira and system integration testing environments
  • degree in a scientific or technical discipline
  • experience supporting data governance, data quality and FAIR data standards

 

Optional Requirements:

It will also be advantageous if you have:

  • experience within pharmaceutical research and development or PT&D
  • experience with data science, machine learning or data visualisation
  • knowledge of Python, knowledge graphs, ontologies or semantic data models
  • experience working with regulated information systems
  • previous experience delivering within global organisations

 

Working Pattern: Hybrid – 60% onsite near Manchester
Contract Type: Outside IR35
