CT-4471 Project Manager - Financial Crime Detection

Do you have experience of providing Project Management expertise, on a Financial Crime related project within the Financial Services Industry?

This consulting opportunity is to support our client, a leading Financial Services Organisation in a strategic initiative to enhance financial crime detection through improved data, intelligence and technology capabilities. The Project Manager will provide dedicated leadership and delivery management across the Programme ensuring projects are planned, governed and delivered effectively.

The project needs a consultant who has:

  • Proven experience delivering complex or high-value business and technology
  • Experience in change projects end-to-end including resourcing, planning, budgeting and governance
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build effective relationships at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Experience working within financial services, regulatory, law enforcement or financial crime environments.

Key services:

The key services that you will be asked to provide are:

  • Leading the planning, delivery and governance of projects within the Programme.
  • Managing project plans, milestones, budgets, risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Coordinating business, technology, security, procurement and supplier stakeholders.
  • Producing high-quality programme reporting, governance materials and management information.
  • Driving delivery against agreed objectives, timelines and benefits.
  • Ensuring compliance with governance, risk and change management processes.

Mandatory Requirements:

Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proven experience delivering complex or high-value business and technology change projects end-to-end, ideally within financial services, government, or regulatory environments
  • Demonstrable experience managing mid-to-high complexity projects, including resourcing, planning, budgeting, and governance
  • Proven experience leading delivery through matrix teams, including internal resources and third-party suppliers, across the full project lifecycle
  • Strong experience implementing and operating within structured project governance frameworks
  • Proven ability to lead delivery teams and stakeholders through structural, procedural, and cultural change, securing commitment to new ways of working
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, negotiate and build effective relationships at all levels, including senior leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, able to assess complex delivery issues and evaluate options drive effective solutions

Optional Requirements:

It will also be advantageous if you have:

  • Experience working within financial services, regulatory, law enforcement or financial crime environments.
  • APM Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or other relevant project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile), or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Experience working in security-sensitive environments and managing SC-cleared resources.

Working Pattern: Hybrid – 50% onsite in London office

Contract Type: Inside IR35

Start: 1st October
