Do you have experience of providing Programme Management expertise, on a large complex Finance Transformation ERP replacement programme?
Our client, a leading Insurance company is looking for a Programme Director to oversee the replacement of legacy SAP General Ledger, Finance, and Reporting systems with a modern Oracle SaaS-based ERP solution. This is a high-profile role for a proven delivery leader with deep expertise in Finance Transformation, ERP implementation (ideally Oracle Cloud), and experience working within complex, regulated financial services environments.
The project needs a consultant who has:
- Significant experience delivering Finance Transformation Programmes within large, complex organisations, budgets in the region of £80m.
- Proven track record of managing ERP implementations, ideally Oracle Cloud (ERP / Fusion).
- Extensive experience managing multiple stakeholders.
- Prior experience in Insurance is essential.
Strong consulting background, preferably from a Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm is desired.
Key services:
The key services that you will be asked to provide are:
- Lead the initial delivery of the Finance Transformation Programme, overseeing planning, governance, implementation, and stakeholder management.
- Partner with senior Finance and Technology leaders to ensure programme objectives align with business strategy and regulatory requirements.
- Manage third-party vendors and system integrators, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery.
- Oversee business readiness, change management, and adoption activities across Finance and wider business functions.
- Define and manage programme risks, dependencies, and benefits realisation.
- Drive effective communication and reporting across executive and operational levels.
- Ensure alignment between finance process redesign, data migration, and technology enablement.
Mandatory Requirements:
Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate:
- Significant experience delivering Finance Transformation Programmes within large, complex organisations budgets in the region of £80m.
- Proven track record of managing ERP implementations, ideally Oracle Cloud (ERP / Fusion) and/or SAP.
- Prior experience in Insurance is essential.
- Strong consulting background, preferably from a Big 4 or top-tier consulting firm.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills at C-suite and programme board level.
- Demonstrable experience in programme governance, budget control, and benefits tracking.
- In-depth understanding of Finance processes, controls, and reporting structures.
Optional Requirements:
It will also be advantageous if you have:
- Experience overseeing transition from legacy SAP on-premise systems to Oracle SaaS environments.
- Exposure to IFRS 17, Solvency II, or other Insurance regulatory frameworks.
- Strong vendor management experience, particularly with system integrators.
- Change management and business adoption leadership.
Working Pattern: Hybrid 3 days onsite in either London/Liverpool
