Do you have experience of providing financial budgeting, forecasting and scenario modelling expertise, on rail programmes?

This consulting opportunity is to support our client (a leading rail operator), in creating an overall programme costing.

The project needs a Financial Specialist who has:

  • experience in the rail industry
  • experience of budgeting, forecasting and scenario cost modelling independently
  • accountancy experience or qualifications.

The consultant needs to be a self-starter and be able to shape the costing process, as well as gather the required information from the delivery teams.

Key services:

The key services that you will be asked to provide are:

  • Budgeting, forecasting and scenario cost modelling for aspects of the transitional programme
  • Preparation of budget supporting documents for submission (including Record of Assumptions)
  • Creation of simple financial models where these are required.

Mandatory Requirements:

Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • An ability to work alone in creating a deliverable with minimal supervision
  • Experience of the Rail Industry
  • Experience of working with financial models and costing
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Accountancy experience or qualification.

Optional Requirements:

It will also be advantageous if you have:

  • experience in independently developing similar models from inception.

Contract Type: Inside IR35
Start: ASAP (by end of August)
Duration: 5/6 months
