KZ-4386; Commercial Licensing Consultant (Part-Time)

Do you have experience of providing licensing and commercial negotiation expertise, on enterprise-wide electronic content licensing agreements within a regulated organisation?

This consulting opportunity is to support our client, a global organisation, in managing and negotiating electronic content licences across approximately 30 annual renewals. The focus is on usage statistics reporting and achieving compliant, cost-effective licence agreements in line with corporate requirements, particularly in the context of copyright and AI considerations.

The project needs a consultant who has:

  • experience supporting licence pricing and commercial negotiations for electronic content
  • understanding of licence terms and conditions within enterprise environments
  • ability to manage usage data and reporting to support licensing decisions
  • strong administrative organisation across contract tracking and vendor management

 

Key Services

The key services that you will be asked to provide are to:

  • manage licence renewal and new agreement negotiation processes with publishers
  • challenge and negotiate pricing to align with defined requirements
  • negotiate licence terms and conditions in line with corporate standards
  • produce usage statistics reporting to support licensing decisions
  • maintain tracking documentation, contract checklists and vendor records
  • manage stakeholder and publisher interactions across email, calls and meetings
  • produce offer summary documents and licence compliance checklists
  • provide weekly reporting on negotiation progress

 

Mandatory Requirements

Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate:

  • experience supporting commercial licence negotiations within enterprise environments
  • experience working with electronic content or publishing licences
  • understanding of pricing and contract negotiation processes
  • experience managing multiple concurrent licence renewals
  • strong organisational and administrative capability
  • strong communication skills to engage with external vendors and internal stakeholders.

 

Optional Requirements

It will also be advantageous if you have:

  • awareness of copyright considerations and AI related licensing implications
  • a scientific degree 

Working Pattern: Remote (UK) & part time – 2 days a week
Contract Type: Inside IR35 (FTC – annual salaried remuneration)
Start: ASAP
Duration: 12 months +
