KHJ-4291; Business Analyst (Technical Delivery)

Do you have experience of providing Business Analysis expertise, on a Financial Services transformation project?

This consulting opportunity is to support our client, a leading wealth management company, in delivering key services as part of their technically complex advice transformation programme.

The project needs a consultant who has:

  • A Business Analyst background in Financial Services with exposure to technical projects with complex integrations
  • Proven ability to translate business, security and performance requirements into actionable user stories with Gherkin-based acceptance criteria
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across business and technical teams.

You will be required to attend workshops in Southampton at least once a week.

 

Key services:

The key services that you will be asked to provide are:

  • Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, analyse, and document business, security, and compliance requirements aligned to project objectives.
  • Translate requirements into high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria within Jira, ensuring adherence to agreed standards and consistency across the backlog.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Systems Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, and Test Analysts to maintain alignment between business goals, functional design, and technical delivery.
  • Ensure full traceability of requirements from initial user journeys through to feature development and release.
  • Apply Behaviour Driven Design (BDD) techniques, creating Gherkin-based acceptance criteria to support effective testing and validation.
  • Support backlog management, sprint planning, and progress tracking through Jira, ensuring requirements are prioritised and delivered to agreed timelines.
  • Act as the bridge between business and technology teams, communicating clearly across both domains to ensure shared understanding and successful delivery.
  • Leverage experience in complex technical integrations to identify dependencies, risks, and impacts on connected systems.
  • Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of business analysis standards, documentation, and tools.

 

Mandatory Requirements:

Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate:

  • Business Analysis experience in detailed technical projects with complex integrations.
  • Financial services experience or equivalent experience within a regulated sector.
  • Ability to convert business, security, and performance requirements into actionable stories.
  • Practical knowledge of creating Behaviour Driven Design (Gherkin) acceptance criteria.
  • Exposure to working alongside a software engineering team creating web or mobile applications.
  • Hands-on experience with Jira for story creation, backlog management, and progress tracking.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across business and technical domains.

 

Working Pattern: Remote with travel to Southampton at least once a week for workshops
