Do you have experience of providing Change Management expertise, on a Change Governance and Assurance Review project?
This consulting opportunity is to support our client, a leading UK Building Society, in reviewing and strengthening how change is governed across the organisation. The consultant will assess the current change framework, identify gaps in oversight and risk assurance, and provide clear, practical recommendations for improvement. The work will include reviewing existing MI and reporting, exploring options for enhanced 2nd line visibility, and producing a concise recommendations report outlining future governance and monitoring approaches.
The project needs a consultant with:
- Proven track record advising on change governance and risk oversight within financial services, ideally Building Societies or retail banking.
- Strong understanding of Agile delivery models and how to integrate effective risk and assurance processes within them.
- Experience conducting independent reviews of change portfolios, governance models, and risk frameworks.
Key services:
The key services that you will be asked to provide are:
- Review current change governance, oversight, and assurance processes.
- Assess existing MI, dashboards, and reporting used across change activity.
- Recommend fit-for-purpose reporting and assurance mechanisms for the 2nd line and Executive teams.
- Evaluate options for monitoring and escalation frameworks (including KRIs, deep dives, and material change triggers).
- Produce a final recommendations report outlining improvement options and implementation pathways.
Mandatory Requirements:
Successful consultants will be able to demonstrate:
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in change management, transformation governance, or risk oversight.
- Demonstrable experience working with Agile delivery environments in regulated financial institutions.
- Strong understanding of 2nd line risk responsibilities, particularly relating to change risk.
- Proven ability to develop and present executive-level recommendations and governance models.
Optional Requirements:
It will also be advantageous if you have:
- Experience designing or implementing Change Assurance Dashboards or MI frameworks.
- Knowledge of regulatory expectations around change management and operational resilience.
- Experience supporting CROs or Risk Committees on change oversight initiatives.
