This combined document applies from the moment you register with B2E, upload your CV, complete a capability profile, apply for a role, or otherwise provide personal data for work-finding services.
It does not create a contract of employment.
B2E General Policies and Terms of Use for Work-Seekers
Introduction
B2E Consulting Solutions Ltd (“B2E”, “we”, “us”) provides work-finding services to consultants (“Work-Seekers”). These services include matching, capability assessment, screening, onboarding and engagement administration. We act as an Employment Business unless clearly stated otherwise.
This document explains:
- how we operate under the Conduct Regulations
- what you can expect from B2E
- what we require from you
- how we handle your personal information
- how we engage with clients
- how we administer assignments.
These Terms apply as soon as you register with us. You do not need to sign anything for them to apply.
How B2E Works
- B2E acts as an Employment Business unless otherwise stated.
- We provide work-finding services to individuals registered on our database.
- We are not obligated to offer you work, and you are not obligated to accept any assignment.
- Registering with B2E does not create a contract of employment.
- We will make reasonable adjustments where needed.
- We process your personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- If an assignment is inside IR35, you agree to engage:
- via a Fixed-Term Contract, or
- as a Temporary Agency Worker, unless the client permits an Umbrella Company.
- If an assignment is outside IR35, you agree to operate via:
- a Limited Company (PSC), or
- an Umbrella Company (if agreed with the client).
- The terms of the assignment will be governed by the relevant Contract for Services or Contract of Employment.
Before We Introduce You to a Client
Before introducing you to a client, B2E will:
- obtain your agreement to share your CV or profile
- ensure your capability profile is accurate and up to date
- notify you of key details of any role before submission
- discuss the engagement model and IR35 position
- discuss daily rates
- inform you of any screening the client requires, where known
- inform you of any changes to role requirements
We cannot guarantee that any opportunity will result in an offer and we may remove your registration at our discretion.
Your Responsibilities as a Work-Seeker
You must:
- provide a full and accurate summary of your employment history
- provide right-to-work evidence
- provide qualification certificates or licences where relevant
- notify B2E of reasonable adjustments required for recruitment or assignment
- provide additional information required by clients, including:
- health information relevant to intrinsic job duties
- criminal conviction details where legally permitted
- financial checks when required for client security vetting
- inform us of complaints relevant to your conduct or competence
- notify us promptly of changes to your contact, capability, availability or corporate details (if operating via a PSC)
- allow us to retain relevant information for work-finding and statutory purposes
- allow us to share information with clients for work-finding purposes
- before operating as a PSC or via an Umbrella on an engagement with our client:
- provide full company details
- provide proof of insurance
- comply with all relevant tax and legal duties
You may withdraw from the community at any time by contacting privacy@b2econsulting.com.
When You Are Supplied to a Client
You must:
- provide professional references covering the period required by the client (typically 2–5 years)
- undergo identity checks
- submit a P45 if entering into a Fixed-Term Contract
- undergo any additional checks required by the client, including but not limited to:
- criminal record checks
- credit checks
- sanctions and adverse-media screening
- directorship checks
- education and employment verification
- provide necessary qualification or training evidence
- provide PSC/umbrella company documentation and insurance where applicable
- submit authorised timesheets or service verifications promptly
- provide invoices if operating via a PSC or umbrella
- report project concerns or issues promptly to B2E
Payment terms:
- B2E pays for authorised work completed, regardless of whether the client has paid us, provided all required documentation is provided.
- Payment is monthly in arrears.
- For inside-IR35 assignments, holiday pay will be rolled up in the rate.
Screening, Security & Right to Work
Screening may include:
- identity verification
- right-to-work checks
- criminal record checks
- credit checks
- sanctions and adverse-media searches
- directorship searches
- qualification verification
- employment-history verification
- client-specific vetting (including BPSS-style security where required)
Screening may occur before submission or before engagement, depending on client requirement.
Sharing Information with Clients
We share identifiable information with a client only with your agreement, prior to engagement with the client.
We may also share anonymised capability information to demonstrate community breadth. This information cannot identify you.
Once engaged, we share:
- onboarding information
- assignment details
- timesheet information
- compliance documentation.
Consultant & Community Privacy Notice
This section sets out full GDPR compliance information covering how B2E processes personal data for registered consultants and community members.
Who this notice covers
Community members (not currently engaged): Individuals registered with B2E for professionally relevant opportunities, capability matching and community communications.
Consultants actively engaged on a role: Individuals working with B2E on a client assignment, whether through PAYE, Temporary Agency Worker, Umbrella Companies, a Personal Services Company or other contracting arrangements.
What information we collect
Community members: We collect:
- contact details
- CV, skills and experience
- capability information
- availability, location and rate expectations
- communication preferences
- optional DEI information (viewed only in aggregate)
- screening-readiness information where a client requires pre-submission checks (limited to identity confirmation or eligibility to work)
- information from publicly available sources where relevant to matching
Actively engaged consultants: We collect all of the above, plus:
- right-to-work documentation
- bank details or company payment details
- screening information required by clients, which may include identity checks, right-to-work verification, criminal record checks, credit checks, sanctions and adverse-media searches, directorship checks, employment and education verification, and any other checks needed to meet client or regulatory requirements
- timesheet and assignment information
- information from referees
- onboarding information needed to fulfil contractual and legal obligations
How we use your information
Community members: We use your information for:
- maintaining your capability profile
- matching you to suitable consulting roles
- contacting you with professionally relevant opportunities
- sending capability updates, newsletters and event information
- protecting system security and platform access
Matching and role notification involve human review and do not rely on automated decision-making.
Consultants actively engaged on a role: We use your information for all community-member uses, plus:
- completing client-mandated screening
- sharing onboarding information with clients
- administering your engagement
- managing timesheets, approvals and assignment changes
- processing payments and statutory obligations
- supporting contract, compliance and performance management
Legal basis for processing
Community members:
- Legitimate Interest: capability matching, sending relevant roles, community updates and event information.
- Consent: optional DEI information supplied voluntarily.
Consultants actively engaged on a role:
- Performance of a Contract: administering your assignment.
- Legal Obligation: right-to-work checks, tax requirements and client-mandated screening.
- Legitimate Interest: operational engagement management and communications.
Some information is mandatory to engage you (identity verification, screening, payment details). DEI information is optional.
Marketing communications
We contact community members and engaged consultants under Legitimate Interest. All messages include an unsubscribe option.
Firefish holds your master communication preferences; Mailjet synchronises unsubscribes.
Who we share your data with
Community members (not currently engaged)
Your information is used to maintain your profile and contact you. It is stored or processed using:
- Firefish – capability profiles, communications and applicant tracking
- Mailjet – email distribution and preference management
We may also share anonymised capability information with clients to demonstrate community breadth. This information cannot identify you and your identifiable information is not shared with clients unless you agree to be submitted for a role.
When you apply for a role, and with your agreement, we share your CV and profile information with the Client.
Consultants actively engaged on a role
Your information may be shared with:
- Operational service providers
- Anfold / Timesheet Portal – time entry and approval
- Moneysoft (via Forbes Young) – payroll processing
- The People’s Pension – pension administration
- Firefish – engagement lifecycle management and communications
- Mailjet – email distribution and preference management
- Screening providers
- Verifile – identity, criminal record, credit, sanctions, directorship and qualification checks
- Horus Security Consultancy Ltd – specialist security checks
- Clients
- Results of screening and Right to Work checks
- onboarding, assignment and timesheet information needed to deliver the contract.
All processors act on our instructions and follow appropriate safeguards.
International transfers
If data is transferred outside the UK or EEA, appropriate safeguards are applied such as adequacy decisions or approved contractual terms.
How long we keep your data
Community members:
- We keep your information only while your profile remains active in the B2E community.
- contact and communication preferences are retained while you remain subscribed
- optional DEI information is retained only in aggregate, non-identifiable form
If your profile becomes dormant, it will be flagged for removal and fully deleted unless you indicate that you wish to remain in the community.
Consultants actively engaged on a role
We retain engagement-related information only for the periods required for statutory, contractual or audit purposes:
- identity and right-to-work documentation retained for up to 2 years after the end of your engagement
- payroll, pension and financial information retained for 6 years, in line with tax legislation
- screening information retained for the period required by the client’s screening policy or relevant regulations (typically 6–12 months, except for checks that must be retained longer for audit purposes)
- assignment, timesheet and contract information retained for 6 years to meet contract and regulatory obligations
At the end of these periods, data is securely deleted or anonymised.

You may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of your data or object to marketing. Contact: privacy@b2econsulting.com.
